A few boaty pictures taken from our summer holiday. Apologies for the links but I've forgotten how to embed the pictures and it is late.
This is a picture of a marble boat on the lake at the Summer Palace Beijing:

This is a passenger ferry on the lake at the same place

After a few more places visited to see usual tourist stuff we went on a long cruise down the river Li to Yangshuo and saw what must be the most minimalist mobo ever:

With a few slightly more luxurious ones:

The scenery was stunning and it was almost as busy as the Solent (ok not really)

I wouldn't have fancied helming our ferry as the river runs quite fast it places with lots of shoals and it can be quite narrow, especially when two ferries pass. The captains must know the river very well!
You can visit this cave by boat or train, but our ferry didn't stop for us to find out.

Last boat shot is from Shanghai where I saw the first modern mobo.
