Some good news...

That is good news. The Beale Park website now says they will be providing more information about mooring spaces soon which suggests they may be controlled in some way. Not that I think that is a bad thing given the problems experienced last year, but I just wonder where your information came from.

Not been past there yet this year. I wonder if they have opted to apply a mooring fee and have a warden.
It's pretty popular so something like £8 a night could be interesting.

Good news indeed,
Any idea if the moorings at Cookham have a new warden? Read it was up for tender

I came past Cookham on a boat delivery last week. I think the winter moorings are still going, maybe until 12th April, and someone said the lady who was doing the moorings was still doing them but I don't know that for sure.

The bit above the sailing club is Copas but I think they have a public access land agreement with the council so it is probably the same mooring person.
Winter mooring rates there were very attractive apparently.

I have not actually moored there for about 20 years despite regularly going past.

Both Cookham and Windsor were apparently up for tender. Seemed like DE would put in a bid but don’t know if they did.
Henley are DE from next month under the Where2Moor / Pay4Mooring websites

This is a major disaster - not because I don't want to pay to moor, but at least I would like to know what and where.
I resent having to switch on my PC to fine what / where or use a tippi-tappi to complete the transaction (you can reasonably assume that there will be some delay in answering their landline....
Some will say I'm ringing alarm bells without having due cause - but I'm a realist...
