Get well soon :)

I recommend a 'black box camera recorder' for all water users.
Now available in HD, record speed with integral GPS location with a google earth plot.

I've just got one to leave running in my lower helm window.

24 hour HD recording with GPS position/plot , re writes every 15 hours or so.

I've got it because I am fed up with raggies getting hooked on my anchor after tacking into me and @@@@@@ HM/pilot launches acting like idiots.

You effectively have a 24 hour watch , catch all the clots who hit you while berthed and on the move and never miss that dolphin/whale/seabird/pirate attack again :)

Unfortunately another land based accident and not water related, other than he was on his way home from SIBS last week.

Get better soon mate, Your latest 'official photo' is a beauty, can I post it here? :D

Cheers

Its happened again to the poor fella another stand on give way situation and a terrible mess involving broken bones and overnight stay in hospital for him.

Get well soon mate I hope you mend quick .

Tim

Cheers for that! All a bit difficult just now. New business has been going very well and I have had to cancel stuff this week. Hoping that I will be up and running soon. My collar bone appears to be mending OK but will know more after further x-rays on Thursday. I am a very different shade of yellow, black and blue at the moment due to the bruising coming out.

Collar bone was broken in 3 places and very deep bruising in right thigh which is actually more painful than the busted bone. Bike is rather mangled, but that is insured.

Still, got to keep a SOH otherwise can descend into depths. Thanks for all the wishes and calls.

David

Blimey, David you look awful in that photo.

No wait, that's what you usually look like. :D

Seriously. I hope there are no complications and do get better soon.

Yes - best wishes from me too. Nice to catch up twice (before and after the latest 'hit')

David - you single handedly are pushing up insurance premiums across the country :)

Cheers - not my bloody fault! I can assure you that the payouts do not compensate for a lot of things. I found it rather frustrating that within 2 days of the accident I had a phone call (on my mobile) from a legal firm asking if I needed representation. Strange thing is they could only have got the info from 2 places - the police or the ambulance/hospital. I had not even had time to contact anybody.
How did they get that information so quick?

The Police are known to sell details on to ambulance chasers, I understand that there is a bill under preparation to ban the practice.

Tim Bartlett & Lakey will be on in a minute to point out you should look where you are going & ask if the car that hit you is all right . . .
