Solent surveyors & sail drive engineers.

I have been looking to get back into sailing and have now had an offer on my current motor boat, so I am now firmly in the market.

I have a few boats short-listed, most of which are in or around the Solent area. That being the case, firstly, does anyone have any suggestions for a good surveyor and, secondly, is it worth getting a separate marine engineer to examine the motor and sail drive unit - if so, any suggestions there too?
