Didn't the first Jaws film start with a scene like that and look what happened next /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Get off the water quick!

Pete, (busy driving a desk)

Yesterday while I was explaining the dive planning on the northsea to my son (weather forecast seastate, current,..) I noticed the northsea, or parts of it are extremely quite this week, sea state 1 and 2, and current extremely low, must be dead tide at the moment, perfect for diving, In August this year we had very few day's like this, /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Nice post !

I believe there are two types of posts in these circumstances,

1,for information for fellow forum users, and

2, gloating!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll let the team decide which type this one is /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, sorry, just back, dashed back up the A34 after an amazing day, taking the father in law to Yarnmouth, dead calm throughout, slight breeze coming back circa 3pm but seriously calm. 34 knots all the way back...consolation...no fish..bah!

Just no boats around which made it even more amazing. /sigh better do some work tomorrow! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Whilst out fishing I suddenly realised that I could anchor in water no deeper than 30 Feet!! Yikes. Need to go to at least 80ft! Can anyone recommend a rope type for me? I've got about 10 metres of chain on the end of it...want to go again tomorrow and sit next to all those other boats just west of the Needles that appear to be in about 75ft of water... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I also thought by bumping the post it would remind people that were not there how amazing it was in the Solent yesterday...might see you tomorrow?! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Although not sure on wind...supposed to be getting better after today..
