Solent Nasa Navtex owners

I'm looking for a kind person to test a 490 aerial on an existing rig. Nasa say it's OK but my customer's not getting anything in Highland Scotland.

I'd like to find out if it's man, location, or machine. Someone with a currently operating 490 aerial would be best but not essential.

Whereabouts in Highland Scotland is your customer? I'm in that area, and I'm having problems with reception on a recently installed Navtex set.

hI,
The Navtex transmission on 490khz has been unreliable for approx 6 weeks.
My boat is moored on the River Deben and will receive the start of transmissions but then loses the signal towards the end.
I have been monitoring the transmissions for home using my Ham radio equipment and it is the same. Three quarters of the way thru the Tx it becomes garbled and the signal appears to drop out.
Has anyone any idea who is responsible for the transmissions?

Further to my last...I have monitored the 2020 (1920gmt) Tx from Cullercoats or tried to..Ostend Radio made a transmission which will have blocked out Cullercoats.
However, after the transmission a message was transmitted indicating the service had been restored.
The Portpatrick Tx was received at the appropriate time and was copied 100 per cent.

Transmissions from Niton K&S are typed in and sent from there. The setup has a main and backup system.
