You will see that this is my first post although I have been reading much of the goings on for some while.
I have been boatless for about 5 years now, having sold my boat to do the Charter / racing bit. Having done that, I now intend to buy a boat and resume sailing in and around the Solent, with my family.
I am looking for a 36/38ft fin keer for next season and would like to keep her in Porsmouth Harbour, Langstone or Chichester (in that order)
The challenge as you all well know is to find moorings that are not so expensive so as to completely put you off the idea. I have looked at the cost of marina berths and can safely say that that is out of the question.
So, I have two questions. Firstly what is the chance of any of the clubs having economical moorings and membership available. Can anyone suggest a club to contact?
Secondly, can anyone recommend any yards that have good accessible deep water swinging or pile moorings
I would appreciate any advise I can get
Thanks
