Sole Diesel parts

This will probably apply to people in the Western Med but, has anyone ordered Sole Diesel parts direct from Sole before?

I need an exhaust elbow but the local Sole dealers are rubbish at replying/supplying. The only email reply I've had is from Diamond Diesel, the UK Sole dealer who are always very helpful but it's daft shipping a part from Barcelona to the UK for me to bring it back to Spain when I'm sitting on the boat in Empuriabrava now.

I've emailed Sole but, as usual, still waiting for a reply. Unfortunately, my Spanish isn't really up to a prolonged telephone conversation but I may give it a punt tomorrow anyway.

Had a prob last year in Midi, Local dealers made a hash of ordering sea water pump spares. Although the factory is only a spitting distance from the Midi it took a week to obtain the wrong parts. After a couple of calls to a very nice lady at the factory it was agreed we could collect direct. Hospitality was excellent with a factory tour thrown in.

I have found with other manufacturers that if you use either the Dutch of German resellers it comes faster and pain-free than using the english suppliers - normally cheaper as well. I now get all my spares for my SAAB car from Germany - about 50% cheaper even when shipping for next day is included
Anyway, Sole have an agent in Hollard - both the Dutch and the Germans speak excellent english in my experiance - give them a call

God I am going to miss this convience when we flop out of the EU.

Having recently emailed a number of SoleDiesel dealers in or near to Empuriabrava, Helimotor (who perhaps is where you have so far had no luck) was the quickest to respond and most useful - Enric speaks very good English.
It took about a week to get a response from http://www.motonauticamanel.com/ who also tried to help.
Some dealers simply did not respond regardless of whether I sent my emails in English or Spanish.

Hopefully you managed to contact Sole directly and have now sourced the part you need. Good luck.

No reply from Sole unfortunately. I eventually found a helpful source in Tamara at Roses Shipyard. They have taken over from Drassanes Despuig who are listed as dealers on the Sole website. She speaks "OK" English but, as with everything in Spain, it's all incredibly slow.
