Well that's it, an end of an era. My beautiful ex-TC launch has been sold. John Calvert has bought her and will be restoring her to her former glory.
John owns L'Orage a very famous Dunkirk Little Ship and my old boat will be joining that posh stable. My wife couldn't be more chuffed. She is so happy that our boat is going to someone who will care for and cherish her. There were several buyers in the wings but none with the expertise of John Calvert.

Oh dear, Byron - what a sad day (in some ways).
I had a conversation with him during a lock passage - as some of us do, even in a WSOB - and he impressed me with what he had done.
Not having a 'proper boat' without a correct ensign - I'd still have feelings for the correct stuff.

Cheer up, perhaps you'll get to have a ride or two - without the expenses.....
