I have more news on this topic re Going to Sea. It appears that going to sea (as far as Solas V is concerned) from the River Crouch will be defined by going over a transit between Clacton Pier in the north and the Reculvers Tower in the south, this transit applies between 1st April > 31st October. A transit between Colne point in the north and Whitstable in the south will apply in the winter.

I wonder what effect these regs will have on yacht racing, just see it now arrive on the race day, attend race box to obtain race course. You then have to do your plan, any thoughts?
