Looking at Solar panels. Best seem the frame type and then the semi flexible, but I seem to remember reading about some panels that worked in 'daylight'. Would these ones from Barden ( http://www.barden-ukshop.com/solara-rigid-glass-panels-51-c.asp ) be the type or are there even better ones. I suspect that price will be my main constraint rather than size as I have up to 54cm by 150cm to fill if required.

As I understand it all solar panels will charge will charge from any light, however sunlight will give better output than overcast days.

You need to establish how much charge you need to maintain your needs, then, look for panels of that rating, then look at the rate of rate in less than ideal conditions.

Solar technology is moving at a very fast pace today and improvements in better output and lower cost are now available, but needless to say even more will be available next month and next year.

I hope this helps.
