Solar panel heads-up

For anyone looking at buying solar panels this year there's a guy selling 90w monos on ebay at the moment for just £99!

I just bought 6 for my new (old) narrowboat. They arrived this afternoon and the build quality is very good indeed. Not far off the 85w Kyoceras (£750 for two inc cables) I fitted to Revolution a few years back and definately better than the 80w XM range (£234 each) I added later from Midsummer Energy.

No connection, just wanted to pass the tip on.

Interesting, the size seems about the same as the common 80w panels on there. I wonder how they managed to squeeze out an extra 10w?

I prefer to order direct ( not ebay) if I can.
www.trueshopping.co.uk seem to be good ,you can get them on the phone on 01282 471385 and they have 80watt for £99.00 with free next day delivery.

Just ordered one so I`ll post on here when it arrives, should be tomorrow.

Depends on the size of your battery bank.

The established rule of thumb is anything approaching or above 10 watts solar to 100AH battery capacity use a regulator.

If you are heading for sunnier spots definitely to be recommended.

No problem in Conway. Its always raining when I drive past on my way to the Menai

Great thanks! They seem to be fairly cheap anyway.

They look good and an excellent price, will be ordering 2 of those, I'm 24 volt. Already have 4 but two more will fit!
