Solar charged automatic light sticks-99p Poundstretcher.
They are available in either black plastic or stainless-they have a covered manual switch and once on are switched by light/dark-whilst designed for putting in the garden I can see use as emergency lights of one sort or another onboard;on the dingy;liferaft etc.
They appear to be weather tight and well constructed.The stick just pulls off if all you need is the light with solar panel on top.
I dont know how long the rechargeable battery will last but at 99p!
