SoF day boat recommendation

So a friend of mine has a property in the SoF with a 13m mooring and wants to get himself a boat. His likely usage is very different to ours, so I thought I'd ask here for ideas...

Although he has a 13m mooring, he doesn't want to go bigger than 9m or so
There's no requirement for overnighting, except possibly for occasional guests if the apartment is full but this isn't mandatory
Day boat use only - short local trips
Mostly to be a day/evening social platform for 4-8 people
Doesn't need to be an overt fanny magnet (SWMBO prohibits this)

Where would you start?

hmm well there is a particular boat that seems to be becoming popular round 'ere, big cockpit, oversized day boat,hot performance.. but its more like 10.4m.

Lovely boat, but I suspect his SWMBO may decide it is a little too 'magnetic'... OTOH, that Morgan 33 is a pretty little thing. Anyone know of other similar craft?

Hmmm they are great boats pete, but you can only seat 5 on either of those boats, probably need to go up to a Khamsin 34 for 8 proper seats.
