toying with fitting some solar panels to our Atlantic 38 and wondered if anybody has excperience of their effectivenes in practice as opposed to manufacturer's claims. we are in the med so sunshine hours not an issue. I don't expect them to run the boat systems entirely, just extend time away from shorepower without having to run the genny . We spend a lot of time in Greek harbours with no leccy and sometimes its a bit anti social to run the genny. I know this is a bit of how long is piece of string question but What size panels do you reckon would make an appreciable, practical difference without going over the top with a huge bank of the things. We run a good sized fridge, lights, pumps, stereo etc.
