So who would you beleive ?

Well, I'm not sure about the one that says midday Saturday, windspeed Force 1, sea state calm! Sadly I think the inshore forecast is right. And Sunday looks like it might be windier.

Neither or both. There is a complex low and at least 4 different fronts and troughs over the UK Saturday morning. 2 are predicted to pass over the Solent during the morning. One model has Sunday Solent very wet, the other windy and dry. Interestingly Met office just issued a corrected chart for early Saturday.

Take care, currently weather similar to trying to predict a fleet of dinghies in Chichester harbour mouth.

Glassy calm here (I can see the QHM's building from the cockpit) - and I stood the crew down this morning.

A big blow later perhaps, so non-aquatic pursuits for the weekend, I think...

Everyone other than accuweather was forecasting strong winds F 5 - 6, accu was forecasting F1 or F2.

We actually got 25 knots in the Solent and probably more offshore.

Accuweather is much nicer, but sadly less accurate.
