We're sitting in Fredericia marina in Denmark waiting for a f9 to go through tonight, hopefully off for Kiel Canal tomorrow. Won't be coming back to Denmark for sailing, dead boring, flat and all.

Still had a very nice duck dinner, apparently a Danish custom, sort of pre-Xmas do.

Glad that you all enjoyed the anchoring debate /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

In Krakow.

I spent a week in Fredericia marina this summer - it was a convenient place to stop for some work, good train connections and free WiFi in the marina /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif tho' a long way from the centre of town /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The town seems a bit depressing at first but it grew on me - have you strolled around the moat? If the F9 doesn't blow over then I can recommend it.

Fair winds to Kiel!

That should liven things up a little /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

not as far away from you as you might think. We are currently 140 miles offshore Esbjerg, and if you think tonight's bad take a look at this lot. It looks like we will be haning around out here for the lot

Tied up nicely in Marina Bay Marina. Shouldn't really be typing as coherent speech is getting beyond me. A 1lt bottle of Woods 100 Rum cost me £4.50 this afternoon. Mixed with Safeways pineapple and Coconut juice makes a very interesting drink that apparentlly gets your fingers pi**ed before the rest of you as it's taken me ten goes to get this correct (I hope it is after a statement like that!)

Still, sat here with some great sounds on the headphones, a large G+T in front of me and SWMBO snoozing so what he hell? It's the weekend, right?

Wherever you are have a great one....

leftover wine, on the sofa, on the pooter, into the night, on me own plus dog, on messenger - it's a cyberlife!

In Barbados, also on my own plus dog (who is flat out at my feet), listening to the whistling frogs outside singing away merrily in harmony (it has just rained, and that really gets them going), with a glass of vino and enjoying the YBW cybercompany..........

I get that forecast 3 times daily - 05:00 utc, 13:00 utc and 18:00 utc. ( not the same one each time though. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif) plus 2 pages of graphs.
I need it to decide along with the Captain, whether or not we are able to go alongside rigs/platforms and do our job.
Unlike supply ships which can just reverse up and snatch off equipment, we can actually be connected to installations for long periods of time, so need to make critical weather based decisions.
