Seems to be a dearth of threads, so this is what I did ...

Birthday party / BBQ for no.1.5 & her mates yesterday, removed carport roof today. Can't wait until next Friday - OB is under sailing orders !!!

Did finish off with a couple of beers in the Bugle, Hamble watching boats and boaty types.

Mercury Yacht Harbour for a few hours of Saturday, had a BBQ off the back of the boat, said hello to Steve, Andy & Keith. Had a play with the Sea Dogz rib around dusk wake jumping to give a bunch of 12 year olds out on a birthday bash a special day. Got beckoned into the Pitcher & Piano by one of the MDL staff on arrival back at Ocean Village so joined him and the Sea Dogz guys for a single beer (or so I told Debbie) which turned into 4 beers. Deb tried dragging me outta there mid way through the 4th, she wasn't best pleased, resisted and stayed until the glass was empty.. got dragged around a car boot sale Sunday morning in Totten as a penance. Fitted R36 WIFI booster permanently inside the radar arch after running a 12v cable from a rocker switch at the helm and also ran cable for fitting a P79 Transducer to the DSM 300 ready to complete the installation next weekend. Chilled for the remainder of the day playing yahtzee.

Friday night straight across the river to meet friends for a drink at the local riverside pub.

Saturday was spent fitting a new Rarymarine modular VHf. Managed to cover old messy holes on the dash with the speaker and ordered a new panel to accommodate the VHF plug, demister switch and trim tabs switches and to cover the hole where the old VHF was. Took a while as I had to dismantle half the saloon but very pleased with the result

Sunday morning measured up for another new panel to accommodate change in thruster control unit. Chucking it down so early home to watch F1 (great result) :)

Saturday went snorkelling, saw barracuda, parrot fish, grouper etc.etc., then had a fantastic lunch at Mickey's Bar, Elbow Beach.......bit more swimming then showered before catching the 20.10pm BA flight from Bermuda to Gatwick. Landed at Gatwick at 6.38am (raining!).......went down the boat at 2.00pm, washed her down, had a chat with 2 forumites who were visiting Bucklers (from Mercury)........helped a raggie who "got it wrong" when leaving his berth......then sat in the cockpit watching the rain lash down for 20 minutes........thinking....."I wish I was back in Bermuda!!!..........

Friday to the trip from Hell I.e the A36 from Bath to Poole to the boat, just managed to get everything loaded onto the boat before the rain set in.
Saturday sent SWMBO off to Mercury while I took the boat back round. A very bumpy trip until the Needels Channel then a very nice blat up the Solent.
Was greatfully assisted by Gary and his son on arrival @ Mercury.
Sunday spent 3 hours trying to dismantle the Windlass before finally giving up (turns out I need to remove the gearbox from the shaft with a puller)
Returned home to Bristol and enjoyed several glasses of Rose in the sunshine
