Neither my Garmin 45 nor my Garmin 48, both of which I've had since the year dot, have managed to cope with the GPS date roll-over. Apart from that, having pulled them out of retirement, I find their internal memory batteries have failed. So it's off to re-cycle for those two great GPSs of bygone years.

So sad...

I am a little concerned about the tracker in my car. I got a message alert at around 320 am yesterday that it had been stolen as outside of its home zone and 2 more today about 5 miles from ho,me when it was In clear sight. The tracker company has not responded to my emails.

It couldn't have been taken off our drive as the other vehicle was parked in front of it but I still checked.

Kind of interesting as when we brought it the finance company had rights to view its location if we defaulted on payments.

Is this a good time to lose it and end our payments?! ;)

The internal battery issue is normally a quick fix to change, either wired into the PCB (or a PCB socket) or PCB mount (more tricky but still easy enough).
Have you tried to force it to do a cold start? It will need to autolocate and download the almanac (i think that is what it is called).
Most people are reporting positioning OK but date wrong (time OK as it is derived from the satellites).
I remember this happening the last time there was a roll-over.
