what do you think of IPS.

I think it is a useful drive system, It has its limits like everything but it is good, just need to get it to work on the smaller boats now.

and I still think the yellow fin will be good too, [PS I want to have a play with that ] /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yellow fin looks good. 50% less power required and massive fuel saving for smaller boats. IPS will never work sub 40ft as it doesnt offer any savings in running costs over legs, and costs a whole heap more.

What a great idea. Innovation that hits the exact problem a lot of boat owners worry about, mooring. Would love to give this a right good thrashing! Ta.

The Bulleid Pacific of the boating world. Brilliant idea, revolutionary concepts, works superbly and might ultimately be doomed by cost of maintaining them in the top condition they require, coupled with some questions on the metalurgical requirements.
Technology can't be retrofitted so there's a wholeheap of people who will never benefit. Yellowfin looks like the retrofit chance may be a clincher for some. I'd even volunteer to be Yellowfin's showboat in return for a free installation.

I have always been a fan of the Bulleids.
