We now have more choice now a Bavaria 44 I think is about £140k and even if the Southerly 46 is £400k its equivalent so many years ago would still have cost more in work weeks to pay for it. You really need to compare items on work weeks rather than amounts as say £80k in 1980 becomes difficult over the years to compare!
