build floating cars, even if the floating bit is somewhat transitory, what can the considerable intellect of the Forum do the other way round?

I mean design a boat to drive through a town? After sailing it (notionally) across the Channel, for example.

Re: So, if Clarkson, Hamster & May can

Clarkson etc excelled themselves. They blocked the roads with their stupid contraptions, then drowned 2 Honda outboards worth over £13,000. Presumably the lake etc was also contaminated with fuel and oil from the two cars they sank. I know Top Gear seems to have degenerated into [--word removed--] Behaving Badly but should this be on the BBC, funded by a compulsory licence fee? I wouldn't mind so much if it was on a commercial channel as I wouldn't be paying for it! They should at least stick to cars as anything they drive they drive recklessly...

Duffer,

The beauty of Clarkson and team is that they are so politically incorect at a time when we are all forced to be politically correct. I say go for it...i pay my license fee and I want to see more of it! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It is not really a car programme any more. It is light entertainment.

Don't know why you pay your licence fee, but I pay it to be entertained, and I was so entertained I watched the repeat the next day.

Re: So, if Clarkson, Hamster & May can

the feedback on all the threads on the subject on all the forums on ybw here was that everyone loved it. There's always one though.

I want one! Can you imagine the faces of those BMW drivers when they try to force me out of the fast lane! It might slightly affect global warming though and as it is too chilly at the moment maybe it will help! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK, OK, so it was a jolly jape to put a big outboard on the back of a pickup and a mast in a Triumph Herald but couldn't they have road tested them on their track? They are always going on about caravans holding up the traffic, yet they drove at 35mph on a motorway! Also did they have to deliberately sink two cars + outboards when they could easily have steered into the shallows once they began to sink. For the cost of the 225hp Honda they could have given 50 small outboards to sailing charities and avoided the pollution. I just thought they went too far, which for me spoiled an otherwise amusing item. As I say I'm glad they normally stick to dry land as we don't need any more hooliganism at sea...

As someone who isnt interested in cars i dont normally watch Clarkson .Glad I caught this episode though .Havent laughed so much in ages. I am writing in to complain though as the jib luff on the Triumph Herald was a bit loose. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
