Never hauled out (cost of over-wintering in SW England horrific and we have copper coat and optimism ! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif) - but _all_ jobs still remain to be done ! With Easter early this year we'd better get on with it.

What about you ?

At sea somewhere.
17 April: its a mass launch where we all chip in for the crane so we have no choice! Concentrates the mind wonderfully on the refit jobs though. (I currently still have no engine or steering connected!)

Can't yet get a date. Still loads to do, and the rigger is saying April before he can fit the insulated backstay. Oh, well, it will probably be launched in the next two or three months. As always, it is waiting on deliveries and fitting equipment. Patience, they say is a virtue, but still very frustrating.

I've just found I'm going to sea for most of March so no possibility of fitting out until Easter and afterwards, /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif hopefully about 2-3 weeks so launch just in time for summer? (I believe summer is on Thursday May 12th this year, between 12:32 and 14:45).
At least the yard will be quieter and the varnish will dry in the spring sunshine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Lots of jobs, but the main task is get the hull sand/grit blasted and then the Copper coat, so hopefully all year round sailing with only a blast off on the grid in future.

Should I Antifoul the prop? International MPX or similar.

Loads of jobs to do but went sailing last Tuesday anyway - to help me compile a list, of course, and check the newly mended traveller and autohelm.

She goes back in on 1st April (no titters at the back, please).

As of yesterday:

<ul type="square"> Antifoul hull

Prime and antifoul outdrive

Find matching bit of sticky-backed plastic to replace knackered stripe on hull - SWMBO says she will do this as, and I quote, "You're a bloke, and blokes are useless at that kind of thing"

Mount new fire extinguisher in cockpit

Replace knackered battery

Fix knackered anchor light (connections, not bulb)

Purchase beer
Nag yard to:

<ul type="square"> Check enginebay fire extinguisher

Replace gaiters, bellows and impellor

Fit ensign pole mounting (Xmas present from my Dad)
Otherwise everything's done!

Spent a lovely afternoon yesterday, sitting on the boat making up a new mooring strop; us blokes are easily pleased. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Early May, after the ice has melted.
Of course, it's possible to be "on" the water now... (JC is not the only one who can walk on water if the environment is right!)
But "in" the water is a different matter... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)

First job, clear the snow away and take the cover off!

minus 2 weeks -ie I'm afloat yippee, but I've still got cooling pump problems to fix....Much nicer to work with the water lapping at the hull, and the sound of the birdlife. Pity about the sound of the M27 though...
