I agree with your first 2 paragraphs but not sure about the 3rd. How do you establish that the quest sails better than the Snowgoose? I assume you are talking about the quest 31? Both people I know who have owned the Quests comment on their sea keeping qualities but have freely commented that their windward performance was lacking. The Snowgoose 37 (pre Elite model. I hav no experience of the Elite) does perform well enough to windward and I have found that even in rough weather she will progess well to windward. I have not needed to use the engine.
The hull shape in the bows of the Quest 31 is quite blunt, whereas the Snowgoose 37 is very fine. Cant see how under any circumstances that a Quest would out perform a Snowgoose 37. The Snowgoose has a 33 ft waterline so there should be no comparison in speed or comfort.
Would be interested to know where you get your info from on the Snowgoose
