I've just seen that Lidl are selling snow goggles for £6. They have yellow or blue lenses. I am enjoying my winter sailing so will buy some to help me keep comfortable but which colour? This is not a fashion thing, I just wonder which would be best on the water, especially with the low winter sun.

In my B&W film photography days, I used a yellow filter a lot. It increases the contrast between blue sky and clouds by darkening the blue. I would prefer a neutral grey filter in goggles, but given the choice you've got, I'd go for the yellow.

I agree, yellow is good seems to allow greater visibility than with the naked eye. I have long worn ski goggles for sailing and it makes for less eye-wiping. My wife has another colour and I do not find the visibility anywhere near as good.

Yep, as others have said, go for the yellow. Gives better contrast than the other colours. Great when you can't tell the difference between the rain and the spray because they're both coming horizontally at you...
