Hi - Im in the process of suppling a new Beta 10hp for a Snap Dragon 24 (Replaces MD1)
It would be helpfully if any Snap Dragon 24 or 747 owners who have the Beta 10 fitted, can advise if the front port side of the engine can be accessed easily. It a very tight installation. Drawings are great, but personal experience is fantastic!

Im due to visit boat and measure up this next week, but thought i would ask this question first!

Thank you /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Not an exact response but we re-engined a Snappie 26 with a Beta 10 (now sold). I recall it being tight on the port side but the access was OK because the companion way step was removable and so you could get to the front of the engine easily. I presume the 24 is similar.

The one problem was the height. I had to alter the step to find another couple of inches.

Hope this helps.

i re-engined my 747 2 years ago and the port side is tight the only problem is to remove the starter motor on my friends evolution 26 he had to first remove engine mount and oil filter.
(starter prob was caused by having key switch outside and sticking on). on 747 steps are removable
pm me if you want a chat
