I have a Monterey 265 sports cruiser and have just purchased a Seago TSR240 dingy for it which after trying to manually lash to the stern/bathing platform yesterday, have decided I do need some snap-davits for after all.

The platform is curved with an offset ladder so I don't think the basic davits will fit so wondered if anyone else has put any of these on a 265 and could advise which set I need?

I have Weaver snap davits on my boat (sorry, not a Montherey), and they fit at the very rear of the bathing platform. Why will this not work for you?

Have you called the importer to see if they have a recommendation?

I have indeed dropped a line to the importer for their advice but appreciate the views aired here too. The reason I think the normal ones may not fit is that due to the curvature and the ladder the basic davit probably won't reach to the dingy. Weaver offer extended ones at various lengths and I just ondered if anyone had used those on a monterey? Also, the Monterey platform seems a little high so I'm not sure if the offset ones may be needed.

I used the extended ones for my boat, from memory I think they were 4inch that sit on top of the platform, my platform has a slight curve (Sealine S24).
