I've never heard of them and can't find any ads in any of the mags - so has anyone bought from them and was it successful? I want to spend a fair bit of cash so I want to feel happy about them.
Smye and Rumsby anyone bought from them?

you're perfectly entitled to ask them for some reference customers for an order of £xxK. If they have a good track record, they will be delighted to provide a list.
Otherwise a Dun and Bradstreet search, or even a call to your bank ? (You'll get "We know nothing to their disadvantage" as an on the record remark BTW;but depending who you talk with, you may eb able to go off record.)

Reputable company been in existence for many years. Used by P&o ferries etc in Dover for radio and radar installations and maintenance. Not the cheapest supplier in the world.

Yes. Very respected company but not a familiar name in the domestic market. They provide electronic supply and maintenance to the commercial world, both shipping and industrial.
