Hi there, Can anyone please point me in the right direction? My boat had an unfortunate collision with a bridge rampart, causing substantial damage to the windscreen.

It's a single piece curved perspex screen with an aluminium channel at the bottom and another ali extrusion at the top that also receives the canopy eyelets.

Can anybody suggest where I might get either a replacement perspex screen, or the complete unit including the ali? The boat is a 23' Waterland cruiser - dutch I believe.

Thanks for reading

Don't know the details of your boat, but look up "Industrial plastics" in Yellow Pages. A supplier there should be able to supply a new blank windscreen (and advise on precise material). If the old windscreen is still in one piece that makes copying to the new one easier. On the windscreen I have dealt with, the extrusions came off top and bottom with not too much trouble - but this assumes that the extrusions are re-usable.

Good luck!

Kompass looks good - thanks :-)

The top extrusion is deformed and I think I need to replace it. It's secured by 4 rivets so will come out no problem. All I need to find is a company that can supply the same extrusion and shape it for me. As for the screen - I should think it will come out in one or two pieces.

Try:

Fibresports
34-36 Bowlers Croft
Cranes Industrial Area
Basildon
Essex
SS14 3ED.

Tel: 01268 527331/282733

They are just off the A127. Punch in the postcode on the streetmap website for a map.

They made a wonderful job on my boat windscreen which had three difficult curves. They will need an exact pattern to work from. I highly recommend them.

Good luck.

Regards.

Alan.
