smart tech diesel funnel filter - any good?

anybody used one of these? Its a funnel incorporating a filter which supposedly filters out all dirt and water from diesel as you refuel.
sounds like it could save a lot of grief, although of course doesn't stop water getting into fuel via condensation in low tanks, or leaky fuel caps. But as a defence aginst contaminated fuel supplies (not that unusual unfortunately) could be a useful bit of kit.

Yes, I have one, bought in the Caribbean. There are a few different makes and I expect they all work in much the same way, though prices seem to vary a lot.

It does seem to work quite well, though I only use it if I am doubtful about the fuelling station, or pouring from old jerry jugs etc. The flow rate does slow down, but not too much. Not sure of the one you are looking at but I think you need at least 3 litres capacity for it not to be very inconvenient.
