We have recently acquired a lovely little steel boat, built by van der Verf & zonen in Holland in 1938. She needs some TLC, but is in good shape generally, and is berthed at Oare Creek, Faversham, where she's been for about 28 years. If anyone knows about her history before 1979, or has any memories of her, we'd love to hear.
Thanks.

Might this be related to C van Lent & Zonen who built super quality Motor cruisers and Motor Yachts in the 1960's?
I believe latterly their boats were sold under the name of SupervanCraft.

'Zonen' means sons as in 'van der Verf and sons' so they are probably not related.
Could it also be van de Werf, which is pronounced Verf? This is a fairly common Dutch name, meaning 'from the wharf'.
