Not sure if this is the correct place for thos post, but on the hunt for a package as above, around 3m long, weight not an issue as have high low tendar launch system fitted, however I am open minded re rib / outboard or jet. If anyone is selling a package then would be very interested, based Solent, or can mail me at paul.salliss@btinternet.com

many thanks

Personally i'd go the outboard route as I like my tender to work all the time, not just some of it :D For a fast tender I much prefer jockey style so you can take the load of the bumps and jumps on your knees rather than through your spine. They don't tend to look as pretty, although the AB Rider looks OK, and may be suitable, though a bit bigger at 3.2m. There is a UK dealer I think, though can't remember who.

Thanks Guys, and Lisa,

Nick H, you read my mind, that sort of thing will get me to Cowes if the family dont want to go out in the main boat etc,

if anyone knows of anyone selling then feel free to let me know

best
Paul

Cowes in a 3 meter rib, thats serious commitment!

have seen a few nice little ribeye's aroud on the back of boats so maybe worth a look there?

The Xpro range of aluminium hulled ribs got a fantastic write up in Boat mart some time ago....the best small ribs by a very large factor, and the cheapest.
Super light and can take 20hp....3mtr is about 50kg does nearly 30 kts...Iirc.
The new web site is terrible..

Here's a link to their pdf brochure - the web site is one of the worst I've ever seen... www.3dtender.com/files/96/2012/2012_seaswift_catalogue_print.pdf

Congratulations on the new Squadron Paul

A 3.4m with 30hp or so outboard would be great, though seriously you should not even contemplate taking family from Solent to Cowes in such a thing.

In this size bracket you have lots of choice of boats, but take a look for Walker Bay genesis 3.4m console with a Yamaha30. Very nice luxury machine and would look great on your boat. Check out their website an do a search on this forum for pictures etc. Several people including me have had or have this boat and find it very good. It is very light weight.

Each to their own but I prefer normal seating to a jockey console. You can get the upholstery changed to match the mother ship - ask EBY to take the cushions to Martin (up the road from EBY) for OEM quality re - upholstery. Martin makes the original cushions on your boat, for Fairline
