Hope someone can help me identify a small plastic tongue type device which sits on the bow and stops the cruising chute sheets slipping under the bow.
Just cant remember where I saw the thing.
Thanks

I've seen a few improvised ones on dinghies with symetrical kites, like larks, where the jib is tacked right on the bow.
Try a chandler like Pinbax?

You can also get a suitable wotsit attached to the luff of the assymmetric that you can hang the lazy sheet on. Just ask the sailmaker - they probably know the name of it too.

Only the other day I found the keel is quite effective at stopping the sheet getting to the prop.

The device is known around our club as a "dicky" usually made of stiff wire in a U shape sticking out 10cms or so bent up at the tip and clamped under suitable screws on the deck at the bow. good luck olewill
