Can anyone tell me what I should use to repair this chip to the seat back - I was thinking of a bright white Gelcoat but dont know whether this is best or what mix to use:

bright white gelcoat

2% catalyst.

Mask off the upholstery with some packing tape or similar first. Lay down the chair so that the hole is in the horizontal plane otherwise the gel will run out.

Might be able to polish it up with a Dremel otherwise you'll have to strip the chair to do a really good job.

Thats more difficult than it seems. It does appear from your picture that the colour is not bright white but off white. If so to do the job properly you would need to get some gel coat and pigment and experiment until you match the colour exactly. Then you need to take it apart, over fill it then lightly sand with wet/dry to flat it down then polish it with something like Ferecla paste. Looking at it I would frankly go to Halfords and buy some car touch up paint!
