Hello ppl new on here.just wondering if its safe on bristol channal with small 27ft boat river canal boat.burland.with. 15 hpower engine.bin too watchet marina by land .the sea was ruff looking.is the sea always like that.and is it ever like a mill pond

No, it is sometimes like a millpond, but I think you want to be in a boat designed for the sea, and not for inland waterways. Please note that I don't know much about motorboats, but the Bristol Channel can change rapidly, and is a pretty serious place to be

You could use it on the Bristol Channel if you took great care with the weather forecast in mind but its not really suitable for regular use in waters it wasnt designed for.

The sea state in the Bristol Channel can change dramatically when the tide changes. Wind with tide will produce a smoother sea than wind against tide.

Some boats designed for inland waters have ventilators that can allow the sea into the boat if on choppy waters. Also the windows wont be strong enough to take a slap from a large wave. This is obviously not ideal. :-)
