Hi,

I'm working on a new television programme and we're looking for a small (24/25ft max) boat for some filming in the Bristol Channel area.

Ideally we're looking for something that may be unique, has personality or history behind it. Maybe it would simply look great on TV!

It would be for one day between 14th - 16th June 2013 and the boat would need to be suitable for our presenter to sail (they are experienced!).

Maybe it's your boat that's spung to mind or someone else's you could recommend - if so, email me on Aaron.Nelson@itv.com with some details and your phone number - a photo would also be really helpful.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi,

I'd be able to discuss rates, in person, with anyone who's interested.

Have you a boat in mind?

Many Thanks

What end of the Bristol Channel are you planning to film on? Lundy or Avonmouth? Are you looking for a wooden boat?

Is the rate in the 100s or 1000s?

More details please?

Hi Camelia,

A lot of filming already in place is around the Barry / Penarth area. With boats being moveable we chat about logistics if yours is somewhere else?

At this stage, I would say a wooden boat may be our preference, but we're open to ideas and suggestions.

If anyone has photo's online of their boats and would like to suggest them, feel free to post the links.

In terms of a rate I really would prefer to chat with individuals about this, but the amount would cover the time / expenses involved in taking part in the filming.

Thanks,

Aaron

I'd love to help but I have a plastic motor boat, if you could use one of those my fee would be zero.
OK maybe the price of a pint ;-)
Good luck with your search I'm sure some of the Cardiff lot will be along soon.

Hiya ANUK,

If you need a safety boat or any underwater footage either from a commercial diver or a ROV then try Celtic Marine Services in Cardiff Bay.

I used their work boat recently to tow my yacht back across the Bristol Channel and was delighted with the level of professionalism shown.

I know Ashley has worked with the BBC and ITV before.

I think going down to the Bay and asking face to face with a boat you fancy might be better. I was moored next to a nice little boat about the size you need a few weeks ago. Not sail but it had a steam engine.
Again, why not put notices in the clubs.
