Hi
I live in the northern Scottish Highlands and this post will only appeal if by chance there is a reader restoring or building a large wooden vessel (say 40-80 foot or so) who would wish to visit to rummage!
For some years now, I have been carting about anchors, galvanised rigging gear, decklights (through), Deck Flood lights (24v - new), bilge pumps (large capacity 12v used), marine plumbing quick-fit pipe and fittings, marine hose, wooden cheeked snatch blocks, sheet blocks, some belaying pins etc.
With the exception of the anchors, (One large Danforth type and one large fisherman's type), all the gear is in cobweb enbrobed tea chests in my garage. I'm not interested in delving through everything, photographing it and eBay listing it. I simply don't have the time. It is a mixture of mundane and some hard to find treasure left over from a gaff ketch I owned many years ago. There is not a vast amount but well worth a look if you're local and involved in such a project. I will take any reasonable offer from those who visit to have a look
Thanks and sorry if this is in any way an inappropriate use of the forum. Please DM me with a brief description of your project and a contact number if you wish to visit.
Thanks
David
