Hi

Could anybody tell me if there are slipway facilities in or around March in Cambridgeshire. I am aware of one in Fox Marina but there are stringent restrictions on when it can be used.

Many thanks

Fox's is your best bet, I think there is one at the other side of March controlled by the middle level commisioners or you could go to Ely which is only a day away but you have to cross the tidal bit on HW.
What boat do you need to slip, it is a bit tight in the ditches!

Fox Marina is the only one I know of close to March /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There is however an unmanned slipway on the Nene Old Course, tho probably only suitable for smaller boats. Take the A1122 Wisbech to Downham Market; the slipway is on the opposite bank of the river between Outwell and the Middle Level approx quarter of a mile after leaving Outwell.

Further afield there is a slipway at Denver on the Gt Ouse and Peterborough yacht club has one on the Nene.

The new 75 tonne boat hoist at Wisbech is almost ready for action but I think they are still working on our slipway. Late again - it's the fenland way.

Hope you find somewhere suitable.

Thanks for the responses. We have a small Shetland we are delivering for a customer so nothing to big. If we need to we can use the one at Fox's it just means a slight delay as it is only availble on certain days.
