Slip-hook for hydrostatic fitting

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a slip-hook to fit to a liferaft hydrostatic fitting? I've tried 3 chandlers and on line but to know avail. I just need one which will allow me to deploy the raft manually if necessary - while keeping the tension on the line at other times to keep the liferaft in place.

Yachtparts (Dinghy and Rib Warehouse branch) in Plymouth tried to sell me one. It was complete with strap and cost about £50. I walked away. Even the salesman looked apologetic.

Do you mean something like a pelican hook?
You can probably get one which accepts an M6 thread for lifelines
