Slightly jealous raggy

Don't tell anyone but have to admit to slight jealous feeling yesterday!

Was delivering our 34' sailing yacht from her summer (!!) berth in gosport to winter layup at shoreham, trip took 7 hours at average speed c 5.5 knots.

Was impressed by sight of 10+ motoryachts together off chichester bar beacon- didn't get close enough to see what you were all upto but suspect that you were:-

1. Going to be home or tucked up long before we were,
2. Going to be cruising much quicker than we were

and most important of all,

3. Considerably warmer than we were!

Only saw 4 other yachts out during our entire trip and rare to be outnumbered by motorboats let alone by 2 to 1.

Still wondering what you were all doing off the bar beacon though?

All were going up to the boat show ,,,,,, Passsed Dover at 18:20 ish ,,,, heard them call up Dover Port Cotrol on vhf as they passed one mile off harbour,,,

Lots past yesterday ,,, mainly in grops of 5 & 6's ,,,,, what was nice to see wa a range of 6 boats , with biggest in the lead to the little tail end charlie bring up the rear at a faster bumpy ride ...( all were Sunseekers ) i am told .

ah ... if its the same lot, they passed me coming in thro' portsmuff at 1100 as i was going out .. headed for port soilent, I think. that's usually where they go for tucker etc ....... nice sight .....

The reason for us being there was sadly due to one of our club members passing away Christmas Eve. Her partner laid a wreath as we paid our respects in the environment in which most of us knew her.
