Anyone have any recommendations for someone to make some wheelhouse windows that slide open for our Hardy 20? They were available as an option when the boats were made but no longer available through Hardy.

I appreciate that this is unlikely to be cheap!

If you want glass, I'd talk to a domestic glazier. They should do the toughened or laminated glass you need. Failing that, a nose round car restoration websites is bound to come up with something. For Perspex or Polycarbonate, there's bound to be a supplier reasonably close by. If you need the frames and all, you could pay the Marine Tax, but I'd look again at car restoration sites first

Glass should be reasonably straightforward, what I am looking for is someone to make the frames. These will be double channel to allow the panes to slide with rounded corners.

I actually spoke to Eagle Boat Windows today as they are now based in Bury St Edmunds, to get a price to replace the perspex in a Pasport deck hatch. I was a bit surprised at the quoted cost + VAT - so it will now be a DIY job later in the year. He may be fine for a new sliding window however.

My guess is that no-one makes up double channels in aluminium, they simply buy a double channel extrusion and make up the frames from that. Very often the extrusions are part of a 'kit' supplied by the extruder, so including the corners. Have a look at standard aluminium extrusions and see what is available locally.

And/or look at caravan shops, I guess people might need new windows in caravans, some of which might be sliding - and as windows are not standard - people buy extrusions with pieces to provide the corners (to match the extrusions).
