odd how the polis once were on the beat but are now described by chief constables etc as being on the front line ... anyway ..

to find a resting place for all these unwanted, derelict etc AWBs they can be roped together, maybe two or three at a time, and towed out to the Channel shipping lanes as Sleeping policeman. the crunchee sound as a couple of bennys or the poof! as a bav or the clunk as a jenny goes will help them fill log in correctly ...

Better af wi' speed cameras tae catch ships speeding in ra fog! Onyroads mair like tae get ra hump wi' a manky auld boat!

They alreayd know how fast they are going -- the AIS is broadcasting it. It's really time somebody interpreted the rules and applied them. I would have though that the definition of safe speed is a speed which would enable you to stop within the range of visbility.
