has any one experienced probs with skype?
we had a message telling us they have changed our password
& it's been closed down, we have been intouch with help line & they have asked for card details/ paypal details & resubmit our email address does this sound right??? we have not given anything to them. thanks /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

sounds like a phishing email. Contact skype directly, not from links in the email and DON'T give any payment details to anyone who contacts you directly, as it is almost always a scam.

THe important question is.....did you logonto skype via a link in an e-mail or did you open a fresh squeeky clean browser page and log into skype.com.

This could be a phishing attempt to get you card details...
I would suggest you go to skype.com and then try and log in and see what happens.

If Skype sent you a new password then only try it in Skype.com after you have had a failed attempt with your old password.

do not give any credit card details to a web page you go to from a link in an e-mail as it could be anywhere!!!!!!

Skype might be normal, but this was probably a phishing attempt

Very dodgy!! If you send me all those details I will look into it and report back. Also your passport and national insurance number will help!!
