Quite simply nobody on watch on either vessel.

Though you might have thought the person holding the camcorder might have tried to do something to prevent it, or at least shouted to someone else to do so.

Surely, judging by the colregs (have we had enough of these, yet?) the other boat was the stand on vessel?

There was a mast behind the camera out of view, so It was surely the other boats fault. I think that I have read a few threads on who gives way to whom
I am having a telescopic mast fitted to my mobo that automaticaly extends on impact, just like an airbag in a car. This assures me of being right all the time
