Skibsplast 700D

Follow the wires from the pump and do a systematic search with a multimeter. Try feeding power directly to the pump to check if it can run at all.

Might be as simple as a blown fuse or corroded breaker/connector.

From pictures it seems to be the lower left switch although the symbol is unusual for a bilge pump. Ought to be a 3-stage (off-on-on) switch to either be shut off, on via automatic switch or on constantly.

It turned out that the switch was stuck. Instead of it being a 12v Switch its a 240v Relay Switch which had to be pressed hard. Mr W.D.40 sorted it out.
Could still do with talking to someone who has a Skibsplast 700D. The shaft to the propeller runs inside a long bronze tube.(4ft) I have removed a panel over the rear end of the tube and there is a 12m/13m stainless steel nut with in the end what looks suspiciously like what a broken end of a grease nipple would look like.
Perhaps the stern tube/drive shaft arrangement is common to other boats and other format readers may have the same arrangement. The only other method of greasing is at the top by way of a Brass Screw Cap.
