Sink Taps replacement?

hi all

Merry Xmas!

Just want some pointers to sort a stuck tap out. I have a little sink and the taps are little upright acrylic hot and cold knobs and in the middle of the taps a fold downable spout. The hot tap needs Hercules to close it and I am wondering where I could find a replacement hot tap or indeed a repair fix. They are smaller than house taps.

Sounds like you might have one of item 14 here Mike : http://www.penguineng.com/tapsshowers.html

It's not difficult to pop the acrylic top off and unscrew the hot tap body, a good clean and a little vaseline or silicon grease might solve the problem.

Just to report back, I followed Pauls advice and removed the top and valve body, cleaned the surfaces and applied silicone grease. Bingo it worked.Thanks for info..
