In PBO 402 p 64 there was an article on a scew in sink plug developed by Mr Charles Jolly. The phone number no longer works. Does anyone know where to get these? My plug regularly pops out when under way

The way around this little problem is to drill or melt a very small hole in your existing plug stopper.
This stops the pressure in the pipe popping the plug out, and the amount of water lost when using the sink is negligable.

he sold them at jumbles for a while, don't know if he's still around. unfortunately the thread of the plastic nut that held them in place was inadequate and pops apart regularly. (i know, i've got 2 of them)

Camping/caravan shops sell flat rubber discs circa 8cm dia called travel plugs - we've used one of them to overcome the problem successfully. MikeA

I bought a brass plug of the right diameter and filled the bottom
of it with molten lead,nice and heavy now and stays in place,

We use rubber wine bottle stoppers, they have a ribbed plug section that grips and fits all our sinks perfectly. Sold in packs of 2 from ironmongers/kitchenware shops, bought ours from Harwoods in Yarmouth.
