You might like to consider a Bumkin set on the stern so you can get the mast as far back as possible

Yeah, i see what your getting at there, i think i might have to make a stronger post down aft for holding the mast, im now wondering how far to take this without going overly mental on making it, she really is a small boat my christina and im not sure if i need to get ...how should i say "technical" , all im looking for is a simple solution, simply put together and simply taken up and down, the mast would not be there permenantly, it would have to lift out, i also like spuddys idea, not sure if my wheel house would allow a decent flow of air past for that method though,i shall endevour! thankyou guys for your input
