Singlehanded around the world - an an AWB !!!

Forgive me if I have missed a previous post but I searched and found nothing about the remarkable Gerry Hughes who is profoundly deaf, sailing singlehanded around the world. What a fantastic achievement and very well done.

Oh and just to cap it off, he did it in an AWB - a Beneteau to be precise. Hmmm I thought (from some in this forum) that these fell apart and sunk if you went more than 1 mile from the shore!!!

Bénéteau built trawlers for nearly a century before branching out into yachts. I think they know a thing or two on the subject of seaworthiness...!!

And I remember reading your book and being well impressed (by both sailors), good on Gerry, he deserves serious kudos.
