single vs dual prop stern drive, single KAD 44

latest mobo i am looking at has a single prop ?!

these are not supposed to manoeuvre so well, 8m mobo, will be trailer launched.

at motor at a slight angle, eh ? is this realy noticable and an issue ?

dont care about the slight mpg or top speed difference.

correction, my bad, just had a leg 'expert' look at the image, def a duo prop

One issue I hated with a single prop was trying to get the boat to run without a list due to prop torque.
The flipping trim fin on the outdrive never seemed to be in the right place to get the boat to run straight and level
Duo props of course don't have this issue as the prop torque is cancelled out

I am not sure the 44 ever came with an SP drive more likely to be duoprop which makes a big difference in manouvring especially in reverse
Hydraulic trim will take care of drive angle
Single engine or twin both have their fans

Perhaps the engine is not original fitting and that might be that explain why the engine is such a tight fit as illustrated on your other post.
Also if, re- engined , has it then been coupled to an appropriate sterndrive. For example a drive geared for a petrol engine is not suitable for diesel.
I would have expected to see a duoprop sterndrive.
8m =26ft boat with a kad44 should go like a rocket.

Ugh, dont like the sound of the possible 'refit'
Shall have a look on line for the origional engine / drive / props fitted

35 knots aparently !!

I have just seen some invoices and the engine has been serviced to death in the last few years, either good care or ?

Def a single prop on the pics. Origional engine but a leg change ?
Guess retro fitting a duo prop is a major expense even with an exchange of the existing one ....

£2500 for an exchange where you won't know how good it is...

I think you will find that a VP exchange drive is actually new
When I was involved with dealership we often had to wait 24 hrs while they transferred a new unit into the S/X stock and at that time any old drive would be taken in exchange
